The agent of Arsenal striker Lucas Perez has denied that his client is seeking to leave the Emirates in the summer.

Rodrigo Fernandez Lovelle was quoted by calciomercato.com as saying Perez was unhappy at the Gunners and was seeking an exit, but he has since retracted those claims. In another interview (quotes via the Daily Star), Lovelle says he has not spoken about Perez moving from Arsenal:

“Like any professional, he wants to play. When one does not play he is not happy but we knew it would be difficult and it is a long contract. Lucas has this contract with Arsenal and he wants to succeed there. No-one has spoken of a move.”

The Spanish forward scored once again against Sutton United in the FA Cup last night. Although it was a fortunate goal, with the 28 year old intending it as a cross, it still reinforces the player’s impressive statistics in an Arsenal shirt.

The goal means he now has seven goals and five assists in ten starts since arriving from Deportivo La Coruna in the summer for £17million. AC Milan have been linked with a move for the Spaniard in the Italian press in recent days but it seems he isn’t currently seeking to leave the Gunners.
