Petr Cech’s agent Viktor Kolar has rejected speculation that the 34-year-old will be leaving Arsenal in the summer.

The Daily Mail reported that the Gunners were lining up Joe Hart in the summer to replace Cech as number one goalkeeper but speaking in an interview with iDNES.cz, Kolar says he expects Cech to see out his contract at the Emirates:

“Speculation in the English sporting press is rampant and Petr Cech as an outstanding personality of Arsenal is a frequent theme. Petr’s positions at the club, however, is very solid and a summer departure can be ruled out.”

“Petr will be part of Arsenal at least until the end of the current contract and I am convinced that he will continue to represent the role of team leader.”

Arsene Wenger dismissed speculation linking the Gunners with a summer move for Hart in his press conference yesterday. The England international is likely to return to England after his season long loan spell in Italy with Torino, but it seems that a move to London is not on the cards.

The 29 year old doesn’t seem to have a future at Manchester City and has also been linked with Merseyside clubs Liverpool and Everton in recent weeks. Cech meanwhile has not missed a league match so far this season and has a contract with Arsenal until 2019.
