Arsene Wenger has sent scouts to watch Maccabi Tel Aviv goalkeeper Predrag Rajkovic.

Israel website Sport1 claim the Gunners are keeping tabs on the 21-year-old and have watched him on several occasions already this season, amid rumours that the Gunners are looking for a long-term replacement for Petr Cech.

The Serbian shot-stopper has been earning rave reviews in Ligat Ha’Al and has reportedly attracted Wenger’s attention.

Despite his tender age, Rajkovic has played over 50 times for Tel Aviv and been capped by Serbia five times.

The youngster moved to Tel Aiv in 2015 from Red Star Belgrade for a mere £2.5million and the Israeli club could stand to make a significant profit should they decide to sell to the Gunners in the near future.

It’s understood Arsenal are prepared to offer around £6.8million to land Rajkovic, but it remains to be seen if this happens.

The Serbian goalkeeper joins a long list of reported targets in his position, with Joe Hart the latest to be linked with a move to the Emirates.
