Arsenal will face competition from five other European clubs if they want to sign Monaco wonderkid Kylian Mbappe, according to L’Equipe.

The French newspaper says that in addition to the Gunners, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Tottenham are all interested in buying the 18 year old.

The striker currently has two and half years left on his contract with his current deal expiring in the summer of 2019. Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has already stated his admiration for Mbappe on French TV in recent months, and he has been described as a mixture of Neymar and Thierry Henry by his former youth coach at Monaco, Claude Lafargue.

His goal against Manchester City in the Champions League on Tuesday night will certainly only increase interest in the forward. The goal took his total for the season to 12 in 25 appearances in all competitions.

Mbappe has so far only played for France at Under 19 level but with his talent, it is only a matter of time before he makes the step up to senior side.
