Fenerbahce are interested in signing Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla, according to Turkish-football.com.

A source close to the club reportedly told the website that the Turkish club had been approached by agents who say they can broker a deal for the player.

Cazorla is currently injured after having two operations on a troublesome ankle injury. It was reported back in January that the Gunners had activated their option to extend the 32 year old’s contract by another year, but there has been no confirmation from the club as of yet.

If the deal has been extended, it seems very unlikely that the Spaniard would be interested in leaving the Emirates for Turkey, especially if he still believes he is part of Arsene Wenger’s first team plans. If he hasn’t had his deal extended however, Fenerbahce would be free to talk with Cazorla about a switch on a free transfer in the summer.
