Former Arsenal defender William Gallas believes that changes will have to be made in the summer if the Gunners are to start winning trophies once again.
The 3-1 defeat to Chelsea last weekend leaves Arsenal 12 points behind the league leaders in the Premier League table, with their chances of winning their first league title since 2004 looking very slim. Speaking to Talksport, Gallas commented on the club’s current plight:
“I don’t know what Arsenal are going to do but they have to win trophies again. Maybe it is time to change something at the end of the season.”
The Gunners are still in the Champions League and the FA Cup, and will face Bayern Munich next Wednesday in the first leg of the European tie, before travelling to play Sutton United the following Monday in what could prove to be a crucial week in the club’s season.
Before that though, they will face Hull City in the Premier League on Saturday lunch time at the Emirates. Marco Silva’s are coming off the back of a morale boosting 2-0 win against Liverpool last weekend and could prove to be stubborn opposition.
