Alvaro Morata is set to join Chelsea this summer, not Arsenal.
The Real Madrid forward has been linked with a move to both Premier League clubs, but it is understood that the Spaniard has already made his mind up and told friends he is heading to Stamford Bridge to play under Antonio Conte, reports The Telegraph.
The 24-year-old rejected a number of offers to re-join Real Madrid last summer having spent the previous season on loan at Juventus, with the aim of forcing his way into Zinedine Zidane’s first-team plans. However, the striker has struggled to get regular game time this season, starting just six La Liga games, and has reportedly had a huge falling out with the Zidane over the matter.
Morata has seen a bit more first-team action recently due to the injury to Gareth Bale, but his chances of remaining in the line-up after the Wales international returns to the fold looks bleak.
