Arsenal look set to lose out to Inter Milan to the signing of Kostas Manolas after Goal.com reported that the Serie A side have agreed personal terms with the Greek international.

The website say that the Roma centre back is believed to have agreed a €4.5million (£3.9m) a season, five year deal to move to the Giuseppe Meazza at the end of the current campaign, although strangely they report that Inter and Roma have yet to agree a transfer fee.

Whoscored.com reported earlier this week that Manolas was poised to join the Gunners in a £51million deal but that looks to be wide of the mark.

Manolas was a transfer target for Arsenal before they signed Valencia defender Shkodran Mustafi for £35million at the end of the transfer window. It seems unlikely that the 25 year old is now top of Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger’s list of transfer targets, if he does remain as Gunners boss for next season.
