Transfer blow for Arsenal as club ‘agree’ personal terms

|

Juventus have already agreed personal terms with Lyon midfielder Corentin Tolisso, according to calciomercato.com.

In an exclusive, they say that the Italian side have come to an agreement in principle with the 22-year-old on a four year contract worth €3 million-a-year.

In recent days Tolisso has commented that he “dreams” of playing for Arsenal but it looks like the Gunners could be set to miss out on the Frenchman.

There is however a major obstacle still for Juve to overcome. The Bianconeri would like to seal the transfer before the end of the January transfer window as they believe more clubs will be in for the player in the summer, leading to a bidding war.

For that reason they were willing to offer €6million up front to sign Tolisso now and then then pay €35million in the summer. Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas is however holding out for more, according to Tuttosport. The Italian newspaper says that the Serie A club will make an offer before the close of the transfer window but €40 million will not be enough.
