Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata is pondering a summer transfer to Arsenal, according to reports.
The 24-year-old Spaniard returned to the Bernabeu last summer having has a successful season-long loan spell at Juventus but has struggled to establish himself as a regular under Zinedine Zidane.
Diario Gol, as reported by the Daily Mirror, now claim the forward is considering a switch to Arsenal this summer.
The national newspaper says Real president Florentino Perez is reportedly ready to sell, but will demand a fee of around £51 million for his services. It’s also understood that the Gunners have already proposed a contract offer to Morata and the Spain international is tempted by the deal.
Arsenal could look to sign a striker this summer with the uncertainty of Alexis Sanchez’s future still in doubt and Morata would be viewed by many as an ideal replacement and or addition to the team.
