Real Madrid will make a bid in the summer for Porto striker Andre Silva, but only if they miss out on their primary target Juventus forward Paulo Dybala, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The Daily Star reported earlier this month that Real had agreed a summer move with Porto for the striker but that was later denied by the Portuguese club.

Arsenal have been linked with the forward in the Portuguese press in recent weeks but when asked at a press conference recently after rumours from Spain emerged about their continued interest in Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata, Arsene Wenger denied that a striker was at the top of their wanted list.

He said that Alexis Sanchez, Oliver Giroud, Lucas Perez and Danny Welbeck were more than enough firepower for the club. Doubts over Sanchez’s contract situation however linger, and it would not be surprising if Arsenal scouts had been continuing to monitor both Silva and Morata in case of the Chilean’s departure.
