Roma are considering selling midfielder Leandro Paredes, according to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, and have already lined up Bologna midfielder Godfred Donsah to replace him.

The Italian publication report that the Serie A side will evaluate offers from the Premier League for Paredes this month, and will then make a €10million move for Donsah.

The four Premier League sides named as being interested in the Argentine are Arsenal, Liverpool, Everton and Leicester City but it is unknown if any of these sides will make a formal bid before the transfer window closes.

The Gunners are currently short of central midfield options but whether the 22-year-old Paredes is in fact a genuine target for January, it seems unlikely.

Arsene Wenger has made it clear a number of times that Arsenal won’t be signing players this month, and the club will have more options available in midfield by the summer when Jack Wilshere returns from his loan spell at Bournemouth.
