The agent of Napoli full-back Elseid Hysaj has hinted that Arsenal and Chelsea are interested in the Albanian international’s services.
The 22-year-old has been a regular for the Serie A club this season, starting 25 of his 27 appearances in all competitions so far, and his representative, Mario Giuffedi, claims the right-back has attracted interest from around Europe.
In an interview with broadcast Radio CRC (via Transfermarketweb.com) Giuffedi talked about his client being linked with a move away from Napoli:
“We know clubs all around Europe fancy him, but at the time we are not interested in transfer market. Elseid is focused only on Napoli, it’s like this market window doesn’t even exist for us”.
Hysaj still has three-and-a-half-years left to run on his existing contract and is guaranteed to stay put at least until the end of the season with Napoli.
Transfermarketweb.com claim Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich are among those interested in the Albanian defender.
Arsenal have been linked with several right-backs this transfer window but Arsene Wenger has ruled out the possibility of signing one this month. However, it could be a different story come the summer transfer window with Mathieu Debuchy and Carl Jenkinson highly unlikely to remain at the club after the conclusion of the current season.
