Arsenal and Juventus are set to do battle over Schalke midfielder Leon Goretzka, according to Bild.
The German newspaper report that the German side will struggle to keep hold of one of their best players if they don’t reach the Champions League this season.
The Gelsenkirchen based team currently sit in tenth place in the Bundesliga, nine points off Borussia Dortmund who are fourth in the table and lie in the final Champions League place.
Goretzka already has three senior caps for Germany at the age of 21 and is seen as one of the country’s brightest young prospects. He moved from Bochum in 2013 after breaking into the first team at the Bundesliga 2 side. His breakthrough season saw him score four goals provide eight assists in 36 appearances for Bochum.
He has so far played 95 games in all competitions for Schalke, and this season has performed quite well, scoring three goals and providing one assist in 18 matches.
