Despite Porto midfielder Danilo Pereira having signed a new deal with the Portuguese club, with a buyout clause believed to be €60m, A Bola are reporting that Arsenal are continuing to scout him and his team mate Andre Silva.
The Portuguese newspaper say they are aware Gunners scout Luis Boa Morte was present for Porto’s match against Estoril this weekend, while representatives from Manchester United, FC Cologne and Toulouse were also at the match.
It seems that the Gunners are keeping tabs on both Pereira and Silva, perhaps in view to a summer transfer move for one of them. Arsene Wenger has reiterated a number of times in this transfer window already he will not be signing anyone, although he does expect departures.
Right back Carl Jenkinson’s move to Crystal Palace has stalled after a failure to agree personal terms while Wenger has allowed another full back Mathieu Debuchy to look for a new club.
