Arsenal are among the teams tracking Flamengo forward Vinicius Jr, according to Sport.

The Spanish newspaper say that Barcelona, the Gunners, Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United are keeping tabs on the 16-year-old.

Already billed as the “next Neymar” by some in the press, Vinicius has yet to play for Flamengo’s first-team but reportedly already has a €30 million buyout clause in his contract.

His skill was on show during Flamengo’s Under-19 match against Vilhuena earliest this month, scoring two goals in the 5-0 win. The Sao Paulo Youth Cup is a televised event in Brazil and his talent came was noticed by many.

His performances at the South American Under-17 Championship in Chile for Brazil next month will be a further indication as to whether Vinicius will live up to the weighty expectations that have been placed on him already. If he continues to perform however, it won’t take long for European clubs to make an offer for the player.
