Anderlecht right -back Andy Najar has expressed his desire to play for Arsenal if he gets the chance one day.

Speaking as part of a Facebook Live event on the Belgian club’s official Facebook page, the Honduran international spoke on a range of topics.

He commented that he thinks Arsenal are “the best team in the world” and responding later to a question about where he sees himself playing in the future, Najar said he feels he would could do a job for the Gunners. He is quoted by Honduran publication Diez as saying:

‘Yes, I can be a good player for Arsenal.’

Najer missed the start of the season with a ruptured cruciate ligament injury but he returned to the team as a second half substitute in the 7-0 league win over Mouscron back in late November.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger looks set to offload Carl Jenkinson in the January transfer window and the future of Mathieu Debuchy also looks uncertain. Whether Najar is a player that would be considered is probably unlikely. The Dutch media have linked Feyenoord right back Rick Karsdorp with a move to the Gunners if Jenkinson and Debuchy do depart the club.
