Agent in London for talks over selling £26m rated Arsenal target

|

Agent Jorge Mendes and Benfica president Luis Filipe Vieira are reportedly in London for talks over the €30million (£26m) sale of their young starlet Goncalo Guedes, according to the Record newspaper.

Guedes has been heavily linked with the Gunners after scouts from the London club had been seen at numerous Benfica matches over the past few months. Record are however not speculating on which English club Mendes and Vieira are in the country to see.

Manchester United have also been linked to the 20-year-old by the newspaper today, but in recent weeks the only other side to Arsenal who have had strong connections to Guedes are Paris Saint-Germain.

Very recently Guedes’s father Rogerio Guedes felt compelled to speak on Portuguese radio about his son’s future. He then denied that the playmaker was looking to move abroad, and that he was hoping the player remained in Benfica to continue his development as a player.
