The Corriere Dello Sport have revealed that Roma defender Kostas Manolas would prefer a move to the Premier League rather than staying in Serie A.

The Italian newspaper report that Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United are the 25-year-old’s main suitors in England, while Inter Milan are also targeting a move for the centre back.

The Greek international is however said to be keener on playing in England rather than moving to the Giuseppe Meazza.

Manolas’s agent has said that the Gunners had a €40 million (£35m) bid rejected by Roma for the defender in the summer but after signing Shkodran Mustafi from Valencia at the end of the summer transfer window instead, it remains to be seen whether the Gunners are keeping an interest in the player.

Centre-back Laurent Koscielny today signed a new deal to stay at the club until 2020 when he will be 34, which would suggest manager Arsene Wenger sees the Koscielny-Mustafi partnership as being the preferred choice for at least the next few years.
