Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil have been grabbing all the headlines at Arsenal recently. Not just for their impressive performances for the club so far this season, but more because of their current contract situations.

As you lot are aware by now, both Ozil and Sanchez have 18 months left to run on their existing deals at Arsenal, with the club supposedly negotiating extensions for both players. However, it seems talks have come to a halt, and panic is starting to creep in at the Emirates – this coming mainly from the fans rather than Arsene Wenger, who recently said he is willing to risk losing the pair on a free in summer 2018 rather than selling them on. Santi Cazorla’s deal expires at the end of this season, but does have an option in his contract to extend it for a further 12 months. This is likely to happen. Per Mertesacker also has the same deal as Cazorla, but it remains to be seen if Wenger will exercise his right on the German.
