OGC Nice have entered the race for reported Arsenal target Yacine Brahimi.

Portuguese publication A Bola, as reported by Goal.com, just over a week ago, suggested Arsenal, along with nine other clubs from around Europe were keeping tabs on the Porto midfielder, who could be on his way out of the Estadio do Dragao when the January transfer window opens.

Now Nice, who surprisingly top the Ligue 1, have thrown their hat in the ring for the signature of the Algeria international, according to LeSport10 (via TransfermarketWeb).

Brahimi, who still has two-and-a-half years left on his current deal at Porto, has made 14 total appearances for the Portuguese club so far this season, scoring four goals and creating two along the way.

The Algerian has previous football experience in France having played for Rennes and Clermont Foot before moving to Granada then Porto in 2014.

Porto rate him highly, and so any potential offer for the 26-year-old’s services would have to be a substantial one this January.
