Journalist Jose Maria Dorado of the Spanish website Futbolistos says he has sources close to Deportivo La Coruna that have told him that the Spanish club are seeking to re-sign Arsenal striker Lucas Perez back on loan in the January transfer window.

Perez only signed for the Gunners from Deportivo for £17 million in the summer, but has failed to establish himself as a first-team regular under Arsene Wenger.

The 28-year-old was involved in an incident with team-mate Gabriel Paulista as they headed into the tunnel at the end of the West Brom game on Boxing Day. Wenger was quick to play down the significance of the incident but Perez has clearly been left a frustrated figure due to his lack of game time in the Premier League.

He has found himself behind Alexis Sanchez and Olivier Giroud in the pecking order, and has not started in the league since the his first game against Southampton in September. In other competitions however the Spaniard has performed well with five goals scored, including a hat trick against Basel in the Champions League.
