Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Atletico Madrid and Juventus have all begun to vie for position in the race to sign Atalanta midfielder Franck Kessie.
The Gunners have long been associated with a bid for the Ivorian in the Italian media, and tuttomercatoweb report that they will be involved in a bidding war that will likely take place in January.
Kessie has become a much in-demand player despite only beginning to play regularly in Italy’s top flight this season. After playing on loan in Serie B for Cesena last season, he has had a breakthrough campaign this year.
Even playing in a defensive midfield role, the 20-year-old has managed to score seven goals in 17 appearances for Gian Piero Gasperini’s side this season. The Italian club have had an excellent first half of the campaign and find themselves in sixth position at the winter break, just three points off Napoli in the last Champions League place in third.
