Arsenal to revive interest in PSG midfielder?

|

Adrien Rabiot has put several clubs around Europe on high alert after hinting his future may lie away from Paris-Saint Germain.

The 21-year-old midfielder featured regularly for the French Champions last season and has continued his fine form this campaign, starting eight out of 12 Ligue 1 games for PSG thus far.

His displays last season attracted the attentions of several clubs from around Europe, most notably Arsenal, who were heavily linked with a move for the young Frenchman last summer.

In September, Rabiot insisted he would like to play in the Premier League one day, and only recently hinted his uncertainty over his future at boyhood club PSG, which could alert Arsenal once again:

‘I don’t know about staying put at PSG for life. However, I was born supporting this club, I’m from this area, and I feel a lot for this colours. I’d like to play here as long as possible, but you never know what will happen when you deal with football. I really cannot be aware of where I’ll be in 5 years from now.’

Arsene Wenger reportedly pulled the plug on a move for Rabiot last summer due to manager’s close relationship with PSG club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, who wanted to keep the player.

However, Wenger may look to rekindle his interest in the playmaker when the January transfer window opens following the player’s latest comments over his future.

Chelsea, Tottenham, AS Roma and AC Milan are also believed to be interested in Rabiot.
