The agent of Manchester United star Paul Pogba has stated that Arsenal possess the money to complete a world-record transfer but are not committed enough to their signings to follow through with it.
The French midfielder moved from Juventus back to former club United this summer for a new record fee but has struggled to adjust to the pace of the English game upon his return.
Mino Raiola is Pogba’s representative and the super agent has a host of prestigious clients in the European game, including Romelu Lukaku, Mario Balotelli and Jose Mourinho.
The outspoken Italian agent brokered the deal to see the France international return to Old Trafford and made pretty penny doing it in the process.
Raiola has stated that Arsenal have their own way of conducting transfer business but do not have the nerve of splurging a similar fee to the one that United just shelled out for Pogba.
“It’s not just a case of spending the money – it’s shouldering the responsibility of spending that money and saying, “yes, this is my man,” the agent told The Daily Mail.
“Arsenal have the money but do they have the balls?
“I respect Arsene Wenger. He has a philosophy that says these figures don’t match what I want to do, so that’s OK.”
