London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea are locking in a tug-of-war to sign prodigious Argentine forward Naza Bazan Vera, according to The Sun.

The South American attacker is 17 years old and on the books of Velez Sarsfield, where he is said to be on the verge of featuring for the first team after impressing in the youth ranks.

The report suggests that the Gunners are keen on Bazan Vera but face competition from their West London rivals and Spanish side Villarreal, who have sent scouts to watch the teenage sensation.

The Argentine is being likened to Juventus striker Paulo Dybala for his style of play and physique, with the teenager tipped to have a bright future in the sport.

A bonus for both of Bazan Vera’s English suitors if the fact that the centre forward would not require a work permit as he possesses a European passport through family ties.
