Sanchez urges Arsenal to sign Barcelona star

Arsenal attacker Alexis Sanchez has told the London club that signing Barcelona playmaker Arda Turan would be a positive move, according to Don Balon.

The Chile international swapped Camp Nou for the Emirates Stadium in the summer of 2015 and has become an integral member of the Gunners’ starting line-up under Arsene Wenger.

Turan moved to Barca from domestic rivals Atletico Madrid last summer but has found regular action hard to come by with the Catalan giants.

Rumours that the Spanish champions could well be open to selling the Turkey international have been doing the rounds in the British and European press over recent months, despite the player’s agent stating that Turan would stay with Luis Enrique’s men and fight for a starting berth.

Barcelona have confirmed the signing of Andre Gomes from Valencia, which will give the Turk more competition for a role in 2016-17.

The report suggests that Sanchez is a big admirer of Turan and has urged Arsenal to make an approach for the gifted attacking midfielder before the start of the new campaign.
