Arsenal will attempt to land Stevan Jovetic, if the reported Jamie Vardy move falls through.
The Montenegrin striker was on a season-long loan spell at Inter Milan last term, with the Serie A club able to buy him for £11.5 million at the end of the deal.
However, according to Sport Mediaset, Inter Milan are ready to offload the former Manchester City striker this summer and will ask for the £11.5 million fee off potential suitors so they can pay off City.
It is now thought Arsenal have shown an interest and are weighing up a move for Jovetic.
Arsene Wenger is keen to bolster his striking options this summer and has reportedly triggered Vardy’s £20 million release clause.
But it remains to be seen whether or not Vardy will join Arsenal or stay at Leicester City, leaving Wenger, who believes the England striker will remain at the King Power Stadium, to look elsewhere.
Jovetic has supposedly popped up on Wenger’s radar, and although the Montenegro international impressed in Fiorentina colours which earned him a move to Manchester City, the 26-year-old has failed to do so in the Premier League.
