Jordan LukakuArsenal are tracking Oostende left-back Jordan Lukaku ahead of a potential summer move.

The 21-year-old, who is the younger brother of Everton striker Romelu Lukaku, has made 28 appearances for Belgian outfit Oostende and has reportedly caught the eye of Arsene Wenger, according to Italian publication Calciomercato.

It is understood that the Gunners are keeping tabs on the Belgium international with Wenger ready to strengthen his left-back department ahead of next season, and could attempt to sign him when the summer transfer window opens.

Nacho Monreal has become Wenger’s first-choice left-back after a shaky start to life at Arsenal and has limited Kieran Gibbs’ opportunities as a result. Gibbs’ future at Arsenal now remains in doubt, having started just three Premier League games so far this season, and Wenger looks ready to do something about it this summer with Lukaku in his sights.

Lukaku, who primarily plays as a left-back but can also play further up the field, is expected to be included in Marc Wilmots’ Euro2016 Belgium side in France this summer.

The potential signing of Lukaku, whose contract expires at the end of next season, this summer would not only strengthen Arsenal’s left-back area, but it could also persuade his older brother to join him at the Emirates, with the Everton forward craving Champions League football.
