Juventus set sights on Arsenal striker

|

Olivier GiroudJuventus are interested in signing Olivier Giroud, according to reports in Italy.

The Serie A giants are understood to want to bring in another forward over the summer and Giroud, along with Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani, are among the names on the wishlist, reports Tuttosport.

Juve have been impressed with Giroud’ goal-scoring form since his move to Arsenal back in 2012 from French outfit Montpellier, netting 77 goals in a total of 175 appearances in all competitions for the Gunners so far.

Despite being the club’s current top scorer with 20 goals this season, the 29-year-old has come under scrutiny from the majority of the Arsenal faithful for his lack of effort and form in front of goal.

Juventus are now set to test Arsenal’s resolve at the end of the season and attempt to prize him away from the Emirates. It is thought Giroud would cost them between £20-25 million.

A section of the Emirates faithful will be happy to hear this and hope this transfer rumour materializes over the summer, while others will not want to see the Frenchman sold at the end of the season.
