Edinson CavaniArsenal could finally land long-term target Edinson Cavani, with the Uruguayan striker unhappy at Paris Saint-Germain.

The Gunners have been linked with a move for the former Napoli forward for over a year now, and having heard of his displeasure of being played out of position at PSG, Arsene Wenger and co. could finally snap him up.

PSG boss Laurent Blanc has a fractious relationship with the 28-year-old as it is and recently admitted there is a ‘problem’ with the player’s behaviour:

‘There is a problem with Cavani’s behaviour but my job is to think of the entire squad as a collective.

‘We did hold a staff meeting and among the various issues we discussed were Cavani and his complaints.

‘The desires of the individual can’t affect the rest of the team.

‘I believe that he can score here but I understand if he wants to consider other career opportunities.’

It is believed Cavani is frustrated at being played out-wide and would rather play as a centre-forward, but is behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the pecking order for this position.

Now Italian publication Tuttomercatoweb suggests a move away could be on the cards for Cavani, and Arsenal are interested.

Although Arsenal would like to get a deal done before the current transfer window closes, a move for Cavani looks more likely to ensue at the end of the season.
