Edinson CavaniA couple of days ago or so, it was reported that Edinson Cavani could be put up for sale by Paris Saint-Germain after Laurent Blanc admitted his behaviour at the club has become a problem.

It’s believed the 28-year-old striker is unhappy at having to play out wide rather than in the centre-forward position which is occupied by Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

As a result, Arsenal have been once again with the former Napoli man, who may now depart PSG BEFORE the transfer window closes in just under two weeks.

The Gunners are thought to be in the market for a striker this month, despite Arsene Wenger playing down the idea, citing Danny Welbeck’s return from injury as the main reason for this.

Arsenal were reportedly interested in the Uruguay international last summer but were scared off by his £60 million, hence a deal never occurred.

However, French publication BuzzSport now suggests PSG are ready to drop their asking price for Cavani from £50 million to £35 million, which alert several top European clubs, including Arsenal.

It remains to be seen whether Arsenal will make a move for Cavani before the window closes, but a summer swoop looks more likely with key players set to return to the squad in the upcoming weeks.

If Cavani remains at PSG until the end of the season and still has the £35 million asking-price, then I believe Wenger may consider it.

I hope not. The man’s a decent striker but a bit of a bellend. Not worth the hassle.

Not a chance. Wenger likes value and Cavani is on the downside for age. 35mil is better spent elsewhere on younger players. With Giroud strong and ‘lexi and Wells comin’ back no need.
