SanchezPep Guardiola wants to sign Alexis Sanchez, but may try his luck when he moves to a new club, according to reports in Spain.

The former Barcelona manager’s future at Bayern Munich remains unclear as he nears the end of his current deal at the Bundesliga club, but Spanish magazine Don Balon suggests the 44-year-old will be in charge of either Manchester United or City next, should he decide to depart Germany.

Sanchez has previously played under Guardiola when he was at Barcelona, and the Chilean has hit the ground running for the Gunners since joining in 2014.

There were reports that Louis Van Gaal was preparing an audacious £53 million move for the 26-year-old, though Arsenal are attempting to tie him down to a new contract in an effort to ward off potential interest.

Don Balon also claim the Gunners value the Chile international at £58 million, a price both United and City can certainly pay.

Guardiola can certainly try his hardest to sign Sanchez in the future, but he will be wasting his and Arsenal’s time as we are in a position where we don’t have to sell our best players anymore.
