SanchezReal Madrid have targeted Alexis Sanchez as a potential replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo, should the Portuguese forward decide to leave the Bernabeu at the end of the season.

The 30-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from Real recently, with both Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain reportedly keen on his services, after sources claimed his relationship with manager Rafa Benitez is worsening.

And according to Spanish newspaper Don Balon, as reported by talkSPORT, Real are eyeing up a move for Sanchez and believe the Chilean, who moved to Arsenal from Barcelona in 2014, would be open to a move back to Spain.

The 26-year-old has set the Premier League alight and has become a fan favourite, having net 34 goals in 72 appearances thus far.

Sanchez has previously attracted interest from Manchester United and even Pep Guardiola says he would love to work with him, but not at Bayern.

Arsene Wenger would be extremely reluctant to let Sanchez leave the Emirates anytime soon and is not under any pressure to sell the Chile International to balance the books.

However, the potential lure of Real Madrid may be too much for Sanchez to resist, and should the Spaniards table a monstrous offer for his services, the Gunners could be tempted to sell.
