Arsene WengerIt seems Arsenal are already drawing up their wishlist ahead of the January transfer window by scouting Serie A duo Jorginho of Napoli and Genoa’s Diego Perotti.

The pair faced each other on Sunday afternoon, sadly the game ended 0-0 as chief Arsenal scout Tony Banfield watched on at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

It is believed Argentine winger Perotti, 27, is valued at around £9 million by Genoa, while Napoli would want a fee of at least £22.2 million for 23-year-old defensive midfielder Jorginho.

Arsenal could well do with another defensive midfielder coming in this January to provide Francis Coquelin support and healthy competition, and Jorginho may be the man to deliver this.

However, I see no reason for Arsenal to look at a possible move for Perotti as we already have a number of players in the current squad who can operate on the flank – unless of course Arsene Wenger wants to add more depth to this department.

Gianluca Di Marzio also claim a number of German and Spanish sides are keeping tabs on the highly-rated pair.
