According to reports in Italy, Juventus are preparing to launch a £29 million move for Mesut Ozil.
Tuttosport claim the Serie A champions will make a move for the German international if they offload Paul Pogba or Arturo Vidal this summer.
However, any offer from Juve is likely to be turned down by Arsenal for the 26-year-olld, having splashed out a record transfer fee of £42 million two summers ago.
But Ozil has, at times, struggled to make a statement in the big games for the Gunners and received criticism from the English media and a group of Arsenal fans for his lack of apparent interest.
Juve now believe is the time to prise the German international away from the Emirates, and see him as the perfect ‘no.10’.
Juve can try as hard as they can to sign Ozil but the fact is, Arsene Wenger will not part ways with the German maestro. The Frenchman recently stated that he sees Ozil playing behind the striker this season, thus dismissing any suggestions that he is ready to offload him.
Ozil is one of our best players and although he hasn’t showed his best, I still believe he is a key player in our squad and will show what he is truly capable of this season.
The hypocrisy of Arsenal fans. When obviously fake rumors link Vidal to Arsenal, they are rejoicing and boasting. When the same happens to their players, they immediately say its garbage. You would think Arsenal fans are used to selling their top players by now.
