pedroArsenal can land Barcelona’s Pedro for just £21.5 million.

Pedro signed a new four-year contract extension in June that included a monstrous release clause of £107 million, even though the Spaniard is behind the likes of Luis Suarez, Neymar and Lionel Messi.

But the 27-year-old’s position at Barcelona has been thrown in further doubt after the Spanish treble winners signed Arda Turan from Ateltico Madrid for £24 million.

And according to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, the clause has been revised by the Catalan club and has been significantly reduce.

It is now believed that a bid of £21.5 million would be enough to land Pedro, putting Arsenal on red alert.

The Spain international is eager to remain at the Camp Nou and knocked back advances from Liverpool, Arsenal and PSG, but after the arrival of Turan will no doubt have him revising his options.

A majority of the Arsenal faithful want to see Wenger bring in a top forward this summer, and many label Pedro as one of them.

£21.5 million for a player who has great technical ability, Champions League experience and a winning mentality would be seen as a bargain, and if Arsenal are indeed interested in the Spaniard, now is the time they step up their interest.
