EIGHT strikers Arsenal should look at this summer

|

Michael De Leeuw (FC Groningen)

An unknown versatile Dutch striker who was third-joint top scorer in the Eredivisie last season with 17 goals to his name.

The 28-year-old has been at Groningen for three seasons now, where he has made 99 total appearances and found the back of the net 35 times – a ratio of roughly one every 2.5 games – and has entered the final year of his contract at the Dutch outfit.

He is a typical fox-in-the-box type of striker, who possesses great movement, strength and ability to find the back of the net.

Fans do want a top quality striker, and although De Leeuw isn’t recognised as one, he would certainly be viewed as a bargain buy.

Michiel Kramer (ADO Den Haag)

Another Dutch striker making a name for himself in the Eredivisie.

Kramer stands at 6’5’’, is great in the air but also possesses good technical ability for such a tall forward.

The former NAC Breda and FC Volendam man netted 17 goals last season for ADO Den Haag and continues to impress since moving to the Kyocera Stadium in 2013.

Like De Leeuw, Kramer has also entered the final year of his contract at ADO Den Haag and could be snapped up for a minimal fee. Again, he may not be the name Arsenal fans want to see arrive, but he would represent a good buy and would also a different dynamic to the Arsenal attack.
