Would you take £30M plus Dzeko, Jovetic or Negredo for him?

|

But we do have a number of midfielders at the club, with many of them now ahead of Wilshere in the pecking order, which begs the question – would the England international be missed if he were to depart? This is up for debate.

However, if City were to offer a healthy fee – say £30 million – plus one of either Dzeko, Jovetic or Negredo, should Arsenal consider it?

Personally, I don’t like when I see our players depart for our Premier League rivals, but we have seen it happen with the likes of Bacary Sagna, Samir Nasri and Gael Clichy, and it can happen again, this time with Wilshere.

I would certainly consider a cash-plus-player deal, but only if Dzeko was involved.

Many fans, pundits, past and present Arsenal players believe the Gunners need a goal-machine to aid their title challenge next season, and Dzeko would be a great addition in my book.

The Bosnian forward is highly underrated at City and I believe he would suit our style of play, as well as find the back of the net countless times with the creativity we have in our midfield.

For me, Jovetic hasn’t proven anything to me, and I consider him fairly average, while Negredo, who is a decent enough forward in my opinion, has struggled to rediscover his form he had during his debut season at City – injuries haven’t helped his cause either.

Wilshere is viewed as an Arsenal captain for the future, but he hasn’t taken that next step to show what he is truly capable of – how long can we wait? We could afford to lose Wilshere this summer, especially if a new midfielder is brought in, and I reckon the club should hear what City have to offer before issuing a ‘hands off’ warning to the Etihad outfit.

No matter how you feel about Wilshere, £30 million plus Dzeko for the England midfielder is a tempting offer.
