111714-Soccer-Arsenal-Podolski-JW-PI.vadapt.620.high.0Everton are interested in signing Lukas Podolski, according to the Sunday Star.

Roberto Martinez is eyeing up a move for the 30-year-old, who is set to leave Arsenal this summer.

Arsene Wenger has told Podolski he is free to find a new club as he does not feature in the Frenchman’s first-team plans next season.

The German international returned to Arsenal after an unsuccessful loan spell at Inter, with the Italian side not keen to retain his services.

But it now appears Everton want to take Podolski to Merseyside, but only if the price is right.

The German, who has a had a mixed three seasons at Arsenal, recently said he would consider leaving the Gunners this summer if the right club came along.

So if Wenger is keen to get Podolski off the books, and knowing Galatasaray and now Everton are interested in the striker, what should his price-tag be?

Well considering he only has one-year left, has not featured for us regularly in the past season and his age, we can’t expect to get much from his potential sale.

We don’t want to scare off interested clubs with such a high value for a player, especially one who is out-of-favour, so I believe anywhere between £5-8 million would be a very decent figure. We certainly won’t get no more than £8 million for Podolski, but if we do manage to get this fee from either Everton or Galatasaray then we should bite their hand off.
