Arsenal will battle Liverpool for the signature of Rayan Souici.
The 17-year-old is being labelled as the ‘new Paul Pogba’ and clubs from around Europe have been tracking the Frenchman after stalling on a professional deal with Saint-Etienne.
And according to Foot Mercato, as reported by talkSPORT, both Arsenal and Liverpool have been impressed by Souici and are ready to offer him a contract.
Should Souici agree to sign for either Arsenal or Liverpool then they will have to pay around £750,000 to Saint-Etienne in compensation fees.
However, because of the youngster’s potential, the Ligue 1 club are determined to keep hold of him and will continue contract talks before the month ends.
Arsenal will undoubtedly have the edge over Liverpool for Souici’s signature because of Arsene Wenger’s history with French players and young talent.
Should the Gunners manage to sign him then he would certainly be one for the future and would go straight into the acclaimed academy.
