Douglas CostaArsenal will be interested to know that Shakhtar Donetsk are ready to sell Douglas Costa at the end of the season.

Chelsea, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Liverpool are believed to be in the running for the Brazil international after the Daily Mail claimed Shakhtar are now open to offloading the forward with talks already underway.

Knowing there will be intensive interest in the 24-year-old, the Ukrainian side are hoping to spark a bidding war and get the best price possible for the £25 million-rated player.

Costa is believed to be open to a move to a Premier League club which can offer Champions League football.

Chelsea were linked with a move for Costa in previous transfer windows while the Gunners have also watched the Brazilian extensively in the past.

Arsenal are not thought to be in the market for a winger this summer, with the middle of the midfield and defence being highlighted in recent months. However, Arsene Wenger has pulled off some sensational transfers in the past two years and this could well be another on the cards for the Frenchman – though he will have to work hard to convince Costa that the Emirates is the place to be.

Costa has made 22 appearances for Shakthar this season, scoring three goals and creating five.
