Arsenal have been given a boost in their pursuit of Grzegorz Krychowiak who could leave Sevilla this month after the La Liga side signed Lucho Gonzalez, according to the Daily Mirror.
Arsene Wenger is believed to be an admirer of the 24-year-old and could turn to him as he looks to strengthen his midfield.
Sevilla sealed the loan signing of Gonzalez from Porto, which could see the club cash in on the in-demand Krychowiak.
The tough-tackling Pole has been linked with a move to Arsenal in recent months, with the player announcing in December that he had agreed terms with Arsene Wenger’s side, only to end this rumour by tweeting his happiness at Sevilla.
Although Sevilla are keen to hold on to Krychowiak in a bid to boost their challenge for a Champions League spot. However, it is believed they will not turn down a significant offer for the player should it come in this month.
If Wenger is keen on him and is looking for a defensive midfielder then the Frenchman should at least make an enquiry into his availability.
