ClickWengerArsene Wenger not so long ago stated that Arsenal will WIN the Premier League title within the next three years – well we won’t be winning it this season, that’s for sure.

Despite an array of attacking and creative talent in, Arsenal’s defence remains their Achilles heel and deters their title challenge every season. And former Gunner Alan Smith reckons that this is the reason why his former club will not be crowned champions of England any time soon.

‘I can see them having a good run – they have done it in years gone by.

‘But I can’t see them getting the kind of results that give them that proper belief that they are title challengers.

‘I think they are better going forward now but I don’t see them as a title-challenging team.’

Wenger reckons that Arsenal will however be crowned champions within the next three years, subsequently, that is around the time the Frenchman’s current deal at the Emirates expires.

Smith is right, unless Arsenal sort out their defensive frailties they will always fall short of winning the Premier League title – even if they have one of the strongest attacks in the league. The club have cash to splash, it’s up to Wenger to utilize it though.

If Wenger truly wants to bring the Premier League title back to the Emirates within the next two seasons then he needs to tighten up at the back and become more tactful against teams like Stoke and Hull.

It is an unfortunate truth that as long as Arsenal remain with Wenger in charge we, Arsenal, will not buy the suitable/required talent suitable for the EPL and will therefore remain an also-ran club.

THIS IS WENGER’S LAST SEASON- I know Wenger loyalist would not agree but after the January transfer window when only Wenger can’t find the right ‘quality’ to complement his team then you will reluctantly agree with me.

We need a Manager who can adapt his
play to meet the match of the day but not to play the same slow Arsenal short pass build up even when you are losing.

What is the point of having hungry for playtime yet frustrated players sitting on the bench when you are losing!!! I hate to
say this but love or hate him Jose knows what to do and when! GO WENGER GO

Chelski lost to Newcastle yesterday, and thanks for that insight into the future where did you get that pearl of wisdom, tea leaves?

So long as wenger remains as manager arsenal can never win the league because he keep doing the same things over the years. How can he sell vermelene without replacement, once kos is out that is the end of the defence.I can say for a fact that wenger has deliberately decided to make arsenal fans around the world to through lamentations every week.GO WENGER GO

The negative fortune tellers are all out today, true fans love their club no matter what, but of course the soothsayers are infinitely more wise than one of the prem’s best managers ever.

It’s a cliché that nobody is bigger than the club; but, like other Wengerites (including the Arsenal board), you seem to believe that Arsene Wenger is bigger than Arsenal FC. He isn’t: he is a paid employee, who once had great success and who nowadays isn’t doing much of a job. It happens to all managers eventually (except maybe SAF) and you need to learn to deal with it.

There is a growing number of fans, who realise that Wenger lost his mojo many years ago and no longer has the ability to build and motivate a premier league-winning team. Therefore the only way for Arsenal to become England’s top club again is for him to leave. We love the club and it hurts to see what is happening to it. It is those who seem terrified of a future without Arsene Wenger who are holding the club back.

The previous posters don’t need a crystal ball to see where we are headed. All they need to do is look at the past 10 years of stagnation and Wenger’s refusal to acknowledge his failure. What reason is there for optimism that things will improve as long as those running the club remain the same?
