The Daily Mirror claims Arsenal have joined the race to sign Newcastle starlet Rolando Aarons.
It is thought the Gunners are keeping tabs on the highly-rated 19-year-old, who has been impressive for Alan Pardew’s side since breaking on to the scene this season.
However, Arsene Wenger will have to fend off the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City if he wants to bring Aarons to the Emirates.
The England Under-21 international has just 18 months left to run on his existing deal at Newcastle and if he continues to star at St. James’ Park then he could well command a more lucrative deal to remain at the club or look elsewhere.
There are a lot of rumours flying about at the moment and more will come along until the January transfer window shuts.
This ‘link’ doesn’t seem to have any substance to it at the moment, but that’s not to say it won’t in the upcoming weeks, as Wenger looks to bolster his squad for the second-half of the campaign.
What race,…. there is no race to sign him he’s signing his new contract next week and he’s going nowhere.
