Would you like to see him back at Arsenal?

|

Robin van PersieI read yesterday that Robin van Persie is eager to leave United and reports suggested he wants to return to Arsenal in the summer.

The Daily Mail claims Van Persie has become disillusioned with life at United under David Moyes and was angered to see Sir Alex Ferguson retire at the end of last season, as the legendary Scot’s presence was the main reason why the Dutch forward swapped the Emirates for Old Trafford in 2012 for a fee of around £24 million.

The 30-year-old helped Manchester United lift the Premier League title last season, scoring 26 goals in 38 appearances, but he has been unable to rediscover his form under Moyes, with whom we believe the Dutchman has an unstable relationship with.

Now reports over the weekend suggest Moyes is willing to sell Van Persie in order to play Juan Mata behind Wayne Rooney next term.

It’s believed a fee near £15 million could land our former captain and Arsenal are looking into the possibility of bringing him back despite the fans being angered by the forward’s decision to leave two years ago.

However, it seems Van Persie’s future depends much on whether Rooney, who is understood to have put pen to paper on a new deal, stays or departs Old Trafford this summer.

But with all that’s happened, would you like to see Van Persie return to Arsenal this summer.

Personally, I don’t want him back.

He made his decision to leave the club in search for instant success at United which he found, but now that they are struggling he wants to return?

You made you bed Robin so now lay in it. Instead of remaining patient and stay put at Arsenal your head was turned because you wanted to ‘win trophies’ when we all know you left because you wanted more cash in you pocket.

I’ll be very surprised if Arsene Wenger attempts to re-sign him this summer, even for a fee of £15 million, and I’m pretty sure the majority of the Emirates faithful wouldn’t want to see him back at Arsenal either.

Would you like to see Arsenal re-sign Van Persie in the summer?

Never ever……he should stay off arsenal side. Though i liked him but d way he left was annoying and disrespectful cos he left when he was needed most after seeing him thru his injury years. he shone for just one year (as in consistence wise) and jump d ship, so, he should be able to sink with them . At d same time , he’s ageing and his form has dropped. so, wenger, pls., never ever make attempt of re-signing him.Thanks.

When you look at this move from the club point of view, I think we should take him back. Coz we are in need of a quality striker, n RVP has got a few couple of years left in him. So it shud be a gud choice for mayb 15-16M£.

Hate him to bits. Would have considered the idea “maybe”, but he completely.drowned it after the celebration against us – disrespectful with no class!

Rvp is regreting in silence. Let forgive him provided he is ready to take a pay cut between £1OO-12OK per Week instead of£25OK@ old trafford. He as learn a bitter lesson, now he believe hes destined to win more trophies at arsenal and become a legend.

Can’t see their being any truth in this. Even if Van Persie is unhappy at Man Utd, his ego is too big to admit he made a mistake and rejoin Arsenal.

As much as I thought his treatment towards Arsenal was disgusting, I’d take him back, if the option was there. We lack a world class striker, and if he was leading the line, i’d be very confident of winning the title this season. His finishing is clearly on another level to Giroud’s, and let’s face it, we won’t be signing anyone better than Van Persie this summer, as the handful of strikers better than him would all cost 40-50m+ and are already at top clubs, with perhaps the exception of Suarez, but that ship has sailed.
