mattia destroDiego Costa, Jackson Martinez, Alvaro Morata and now, according to reports in Italy, Arsenal are weighing up a move for Roma striker Mattia Destro.

While a number of reports suggest Arsene Wenger is keen to sign Morata from Real Madrid on a loan deal, Italian sports programme Rai TV – as reported by talkSPORT.com – claim Roma are having to fend off interest from the Frenchman for their 22-year-old.

Destro is third-choice at Roma, behind captain Francesco Totti and former Gunner Gervinho in the pecking order.

But the young forward has impressed in his five appearances in all competitions for Roma this season, scoring three goals along the way so far, which has supposedly caught the eye of Wenger.

Rai TV go as far as claiming that Arsenal have contacted Destro’s agent Claudio Vigorelli about the availability of the Italy international.

However, is seems Roma are refusing to let anything slip about Destro’s availability, suggesting that the Italian is not leaving the Stadia Olimpico anytime soon.
