believes are on the verge of becoming a magnificent team, but insists they must sign a striker before the month ends.

Graham, who won 10 major trophies for Arsenal as a player and manager, praised Arsene ’s previous achievements at the club and has backed the Frenchman to do it again.

Quoted on, Graham said:

‘[Wenger] has produced absolutely magnificent teams at Arsenal. He’s on the verge of doing it again.’

But with Nicklas facing a long spell on the sidelines and Giroud struggling for fitness, Graham, like everyone else, reckons Wenger must sign another striker to add more depth to his front-line before the January closes:

‘Giroud had a very good start to the season, but the last few games he’s looked a little bit jaded. He looks as if he needs a rest.

‘This is where Arsenal are not blessed with having other centre-forwards. They badly need one in the transfer window.’

No doubt about it, we do have a very talented squad forming, one which looks like it can challenge for honours for years to come – should they not disband of course.

But like Graham says, and indeed every Arsenal fan I’ve spoken to, we desperately need to sign another forward. We cannot rely on Giroud on the time and Bendtner is not exactly prolific.

Wenger recently stated that he could dip into the market for a forward, but this depends on how long Bendtner is out for. In my opinion, he can’t take that chance. Even if Bendnter comes back in fortnight or so, it’s clear we lack options upfront.

What I don’t get it why Wenger hesitates and over thinks it. Don’t think, just do. And if Le Boss does manage to sign a forward – a good one at that – then we will be lifting some silverware this season.
