Should Arsenal meet Real’s £25.6M valuation for this man?

|

Gonzalo HiguainGonzalo Higuain has recently declared that he will be leaving Real Madrid this summer, with Arsenal his preferred destination if he was to move to England or Juventus if he chooses Italy.

The Gunners have been heavily linked with the 25-year-old in recent weeks. But they will have to fork out the £25.6 million price-tag that Real Madrid have slapped on him to land the Argentine.

While reports suggests Juventus have tabled an £18.8 million bid for Higuain, the La Liga giants claim no offer has yet been made and have told interested club they must be willing to meet their valuation for the striker if they want to sign him.

With Arsene Wenger supposedly looking to improve his forward-line and having a £70 million warchest to utilize this summer, should the Frenchman cough up £25.6 million of his transfers to sign Higuain?

I believe Higuain would be a hell of a signing and a player who would suit our style of play perfectly. He will certainly create and score a lot of chances with the likes of Jack Wilshere and Santi Cazorla providing him service.

And with Andrey Arshavin, Denilson and Sebastien Squillaci all off next month, freeing up a huge chunk of the wage bill, we could offer Higuain a healthy salary.

£25.6 million is a lot of money to splash out on one player, but in the words of Bear Grylls – ‘no risk, no gain’. And it’s time for Wenger to finally pounce and deliver the goods next season, and the capture of Higuain would be a good start.

Should we stump up £25.6 million for Higuain?

We shd only sell our best players at such prices -we shd cntinue buying low profile plyers coz they wont disturb our socialist wage structure-higuain will demand more than 100k per week and thats too much for us

  • karis says:

Get ROONEY for a similar price. He’s a better player

  • Anna says:

Higuain is the better player, Arsenal should buy him

    • Gerald says:

Higuin is in a different world than Rooney a none talented english man Benteke is fine tha Roo.

  • Ian Hawthorne says:

In these days of hugely over inflated prices 25.6m for a player of Higuain’s class is an absolute bargain and Wenger should pay the asking price now because he will fit in perfectly with our style of play (as he has said himself) and he WILL score loads of goals.
NO BRAINER get him now before he goes elsewhere as we will get nobody better for less money than his price tag

  • UMOH EKWO says:

Please let Arsenal buy him. How much did we sell Nasri? Who is the better player?

  • Joe says:

pay 30 million for him. but who’s to say the team have any interest? we will probably sign a Young guy who scored many goals in serbia for 5.623548 million instead.

  • Merkin says:

Unless the oilers get involved Higuain will go for about £20 to £22 million and £120,000 a week in wages, easily in Arsenal’s range. Juve does have the money, they will have to borrow the money even if Real would let them pay in installments.

You all ought to know that any organization with Kroenke running things is not going to pay. He just fired his NBA coach , George Kal after the man won NBA Coach of The Year honors! Their team won more then they ever had with a lineup without Carmelo Anthony their one true superstar who Kroenke sold!! Wenger is doing good to hold on and look for bargains. As for the board they got hornswoggled with this man who they chose over Usamonov
