Cagliari want Arsenal goalkeeper

|

Vito MannoneVito Mannone is wanted by Cagliari, reports talkSPORT.com.

The Italian shot-stopper made just 13 appearances in all competitions for The Gunners last season and has been unable to challenge Wojciech Szczesny or even Lukasz Fabianski to claim the number one jersey or move up the pecking order during his eight years at The Emirates.

The 25-year-old has enjoyed spells on loan at Barnsely and Hull City during his time at Arsenal, and with Mannone out-of-favour and the club being linked with several experienced goalkeepers this summer, it appears he is no longer need.

If this proves to be the case, then Cagliari are ready to step in and take Mannone off Arsenal hands and offer him a permanent deal this summer.

To be honest, even if we weren’t linked with a number of shot-stoppers this summer, I would still expect Wenger to sell Mannone as the Italian rarely features for us on a regular basis.

Why would u base ANY story from Talksprot! Not only is it immensely daft, u have probably increased their ratings too. Well done

Isn’t our record with Mannone between the sticks, something ridiculous like 14-1. And he has broken a 100 year old record by having nine hours and 44 minutes consecutive play-time without conceding at his loan-spell at Hull. Mannone just needs consistent playing time to develop.
